The Executive (xec)
The Highland Youth Voice Executive Committee ensures that the work of HYV carries on between main meetings. We meet regularly to ensure the issues arising from HYV meetings are followed up with action. We also attend relevant meetings with decision-makers and play a major role in the planning, development and smooth running of the full parliament meetings.
The Executive Committee consists of 16 members (2 from each of the old council areas- Caithness, Sutherland, Ross & Cromarty, Inverness, Nairn, Skye & Lochalsh, Lochaber and Badenoch & Strathspey). Highland MSYPs are also invited to meetings.
How do I arrange to meet the Xec?
If you are a member of a group / organisation and are interested in meeting with the Xec, please contact Ian Abbot or Audrey Anthoney.
If you are a young person, you may be able to arrange to attend an Xec meeting but please contact Ian or Audrey to check if this is possible
