Taking Part in the Arts

Creative Scotland is the national body for the arts in Scotland and they would like to help even more young people in Scotland to take part in the arts. In order to do this they're putting together a national plan to make sure that everyone gets their chance to shine and are working in partnership with Young Scot to speak to young people across the country to find out their views. Highland Youth Convener's visit to 'The Meeting Place'

Last week The Highland Youth Convener, Stuart Davidson – who represents the young people of the Highlands - met with "The Meeting Place" in Culloden. "The Meeting Place" is a registered charity in Highland which helps develop media skills as well as boosting confidence and self-esteem allowing it to be transferred back in to the community. This fantastic group supports people in the age range from 16 to 70+ years.
